-Britin, late Sunday morning-

" Had a rough night, Sunshine? ?" Brian snorts at his hubby.

Ever since the extended Kinney-Taylor clan welcomed a new addition to their midst-Declan John Taylor-Kinney- almost two ago things have definitely changed especially at nights but both men knew they had it coming.

After quite a few deliberations and set backs both Brian and Justin felt it would be the right time for them to have their own baby. Gus- Brian's biological son- was almost twelve at the time and was still being loved and cared for by all-which meant more than frequent visits at their home- but with Brian and Justin's most recent – and legal- nuptials they both felt they could go that extra mile.

At first they've never even considered to ask Daphne to be their surrogate but SHE was the one who was more than happy to oblige and since it was agreed that Justin would be the biological father this time they all felt as if everything is falling into place.

The down side was that Justin almost never got to see his old time friend since Daphne and HER man- a cute IT guy are now married and living in Palo Alto California where the hubby is a partner in an up and coming new internet related venture and where Daphne became a SAHM by choice after her son Josh was born about five months ago.

"It was, in a way," Justin nods and glances intently at HIS husband. "BUT not for the reasons you think," he takes a sip of his coffee and pulls his lips under.

"I've been living with you for the past Fifteen years and believe me, sometimes I STILL fail to know what you think," Brian says and pushes his chair backwards before getting up from the kitchen table where he and Justin just finished their traditional late Sunday breakfast. "But fear not, Sunshine- what ever it is- YOU know I'm totally behind you…" he winks at the blond before putting his dishes in the dish washer. "All the way…" he adds when he's walking back to the dinning area.

"You freak…" Justin smirks.

"It's true, I am…" He groans, leaning into Justin's chair, leaving a wet sloppy kiss on his man's open mouth.

"Shh… Declan is still sleeping," Justin says.

"All the more reason to have a quick one, don't you think?," Brian suggests.

"But we'll have to be really quite…" Justin says before they literally run upstairs to get to their bedroom.

-Later that afternoon-

"Daph says hi," Justin informs his husband and their son as they hang out in the living room. Brian is lying down on the rug next to his two year old son with Declan's toys scattered around while Justin sits on the sofa with his legs folded under him and his laptop nestled on his knees, Skyping with his old time friend.

"Brian says Hi back," Brian waves at the general direction of Justin's laptop his tongue tucked inside his cheek. He's known Daphne since both her and Justin were seniors in high school but he always felt a close bond with her and was happy to have her as the mother of his and Justin's child.

"So Okay, but wait, now I'm intruiged. After all it's supposed to be big plastic tube that squirts out Play-Doh icing. What feats of engineering and design will they have to achive to ensure that a tool like that won't strongly resemble a penis?" Justin carries on the conversation he and Daphne apparently started earlier.

Brian turns his head towards his hubby. Ever since Declan was born Brian had been a very hands on dad, secretly savoring the opportunity to catch up on a lot of things he never got to do when Gus was little but that's one part of parenting he'd NEVER thought he'd hear.

His curiosity mounts as he notices the evil grin on Justin's face when he's leaning forward, apparently attempting to take a closer look at something on his screen.

"Get over here," Justin mouths, gesturing for Brian to come join him on the sofa to share with him the content of his conversation with Daphne.

Brian glances at Declen, making sure the kid is quietly but safely keeping himself busy with his favorite coloring book-like father like son- and then pulls himself off the rag to sit next to his husband.

Brian gasps and swallows hard in an attempt to shy away from letting out a 'What The Fuck' but his expression undeniably says that as he inspects the image on Justin's laptop screen.

"Am I seeing what I think I'm seeing?" he eventually blurs out.

"You're seeing it, I guess," Daphne nods on the other end. Being Justin's long time friend and a welcomed member of his and Brian's extended family she's never been the prudent or shy type but THIS is something she's never seen before. Needless to say she just had to share it with her friends the Kinney Taylor's.

"Every parenting site or blog I know has mentioned that. People complained this THING ruined their Christmas," she says.

"I may not be such an expert on these subjects, "Brian intervenes "But as far as I know, the biggest worry parents ever had about Play-Doh was whether or not their kids would try to eat it. So now they're freaking out because this thing looks like a penis? Okay… a lot... like a..." he mentions knowingly, adjusting his reading glasses. "Plus let me just say…" he continues, " The only parents who might get upset about those kinda thing might be those who have dildos under their beds and are afraid the kids are gonna find them one day," he finishes his argument, glancing sideways at his hubby with a meaningful look.

"Briiaaan…" Justin scoffs, playfully slapping Brian's arm.

"What? Ask you friend. Am I right, Daph?" Brian turns to Daphne with a raised eyebrow.

"You guys…" Daphne giggle-snorts." I don't know… I guess some adults can't look at every day objects without seeing sex organs everywhere but this thingie does look a bit... umm..." she stops for a moment to glance at her five months baby boy that's sitting in his bouncer beside her.

"Phallic?..." Justin whisper with a grin, watching his son who by now seemed to have lost interest in his coloring book, puzzles and even his collection of toy cars.

"Oh, my god, Justiiin…" Daphne gets bright red. "But anyway, I don't know if it's because of those angry parents or not but I read that the company is apparently going to replace the extruder with something less... controversial, " she informs the couple.

"Do they now? I wonder why they would do that. I was just thinking about a handful of other uses for this product, and I'm of course saying that in my capacity as the owner and CEO of Kinnetic.Inc -the biggest ad agency who caters exclusively to gay consumers. and speaking of which- I guess you kids will have to excuse me now while I retire to my den to go over some emails and stuff…" Brian says. "Too bad they decided to take it down. Hey, It could open up a whole new market, don't you think?." he asks before he leaves the room.

"I'm sure that if anyone were to help them it would have been you," Justin turns to smirk at his husband.

"Okay guys it was fun but I have to go now too, little stinker here needs me," she tells them pointing at her baby boy.

"Yeah, looks like young Mr. Kinney Taylor seems to feel the same way," Justin says "Hey, what do you say we'll bake some cookies now buddy?" he asks his son who nods right away.

"Give him and big kiss for me," Daphne smiles sweetly.

"Will do," Justin beams back at her. "And will you let me know how long this Play Dou contraption would still be available before they take it off the shelves?… for future reference, you know," he ends up whispering playfully.

" Of course. I'll see what I can do. Love you, see you later," she answers with another big grin.

"Later, Daph, LUV you too," Justin signs off.
