Part 12

-Ten months later, a small park in Brixton-

"God, look at me, I'm as big as a house," Daphne groans.

"I still can't believe I agreed to be your sperm donor," Emmett states, shaking his head in disbelief.

"It’s about three days away and I STILL can’t believe it, either," she giggles. "But you know I couldn't have picked anyone else, do you? Besides, he’s going to be one beautiful, talented baby," she gushes, caressing her huge belly.
"With a great sense of style," Emmett adds.

"And amazing, dirty blond, curly hair and beautiful skin," she says in a dreamy voice.

Justin lifts his eyes from his laptop screen and gives his friends one of his distinctive death glares.

"What's up with you?" Daphne asks.

"Nothing, I'm just trying to concentrate. Brian just sent me this email, and I'm trying to read it. I can understand how you two must be excited about the baby, but could you please keep your voices down?" he asks. Then he jumps off the park bench the three of them are sharing, hugs both his friends, and covers his face with the palms of his hands. "I can't believe it, we did it!!! We won! They FINALLY gave him a permanent permit! As far as the legal system here and in the State of Pennsylvania are concerned, we are legally a couple, and he can now stay here as my legal spouse.” He is so overcome with emotion that he can barely speak.

"That’s great, Justin… I'm so excited for you!!!" Daphne exclaims, hugging her long-time friend.

"He'll be here in three days…which means I won't be able to be there for you," Justin notes sadly; but he still can't believe he’s going to finally be with Brian again. Last time they were together was four months ago, when Justin decided to take a trip to Pittsburgh when he couldn’t stand it anymore. But it was too little, too late, and it hurt like crazy when they had to say farewell at the airport. The only thing that cheered him on while he was boarding the plane was knowing that Brian had bought wedding bands for them when they would have their wedding celebration.

"It's okay; something tells me we’re in for an early arrival," Daphne says. She then groans suddenly and turns to Emmett to advise him, "Speaking of which, you might want to set up the birthing pool for me later today once we get to my place, just in case…"

"Are you sure?" Emmett looks a little pale.

"Don't worry, old chap, you'll get through it," Daphne reassures him with a giggle before Justin says he must leave to take care of a few things before his husband arrives – but not before he makes Daphne promise she'll let him know once the baby gets here.

-The next day, Justin's flat in Brixton-


"What?" Justin speaks drowsily into his phone, waking up from a sated, post-coital slumber,tucked in the crook of Brian's neck. They hadn’t left the bed, ever since Brian arrived unexpectedly late yesterday afternoon, his spouse deciding to intentionally deceive him regarding his travel plans. As soon as everything was arranged, Brian had hopped on the next available flight – after telling his husband it would be a couple of days later. He wanted it to be a surprise, and he had succeeded beyond his wildest dreams; from the moment he had arrived on Justin’s doorstep, they had rushed headlong toward the bed, proceeding to forget about everything and everyone but themselves.

"He's here!" Justin can hear Daphne's exhausted but happy voice at the other end of the line.

"Who?" Justin asks in a heavy, sleep/post-sex filled voice.

"The baby!" Daphne exclaimed. "It's a boy! He was born at home just after midnight. I tried to call you, but your phone went straight to voicemail," she tells him.

"Oh, I'm so sorry, Daph, it's just that… Brian arrived yesterday, too,” he explains, “…so, well, you know…”

"Brian is there already? How?" Daphne asks in disbelief. “I thought you told me he wouldn’t be there for a couple more days.”

Justin gazed down at his drowsy husband, smiling at him fondly as he informed her, “He tricked me into thinking it would be later…but he got here yesterday, instead.”

“That’s wonderful, Justin!” His friend exclaimed. “Congratulations!”

"I guess I should be congratulating you first. I can't wait to see him," Justin says, lazily throwing his leg around Brian's waist while the man remains fast asleep. Between the cross-Atlantic flight – and their fevered lovemaking – his husband was understandably exhausted.

"He's the most precious little guy,” Daphne continues animatedly. “I wanted to name him Diamond, but Emmett said he's not too sure about Diamond Honeycutt-Chanders, so I thought we would name him Sky."

"Like Diamonds in the Sky; I love that," Justin whispers, trying not to wake his husband.

"Thanks,” she murmured, tired herself after her long day of delivery. “Well, I’d better try and get some sleep myself, Justin," she adds.

Justin quietly hangs up and tries to go back to an early morning sleep, but it's too late. Brian looks at him ever so deeply, grabbing him by the waist and drawing him closer.

"I'm already up, Sunshine" he murmurs huskily into his younger partner's ear.

"And so I've noticed," Justin replies with an appreciative smirk at his handsome spouse.

Brian waggles his eyebrows as he turns to drape his body over the more slender one. “Daphne had her baby?” he asks, having overheard enough of the conversation to glean the subject matter.

Justin nods as Brian smiles.

“Well, then…I say we should celebrate, don’t you?”

“Definitely,” Justin responds. As they proceed to make love again, he can’t help thinking how lucky he’s been – and what a gem his husband is.

What a lovely ending. I do not believe I have ever read a story where Emmett was a sperm donor and to Daphne no less. Very interesting.

And as for baby Sky- this is more of the back story and i didn't elaborate on it since B/J took center stage. Emmett being Daphne's sperm donor and them raising a baby together is not something that could have happen in cannon imo but since it's AU I figured it might be cool to go there :)
