"Two gays enter a sports bar…" Brian begins matter-of-factly as he walks into the dimly lit but spacious room with Justin in tow. The layout is distinctly familiar to both men, but that is about all.

"Is this going to be one of those lame-ass, light-bulb jokes?" Debbie interrupts, her brow creased in distaste.

"No, mother," Brian intones. "It's just a little something yours truly masterminded…with a little inspiration from his little helper," he continues with a smirk as Justin rolls his eyes in amusement.

"As much as I enjoy the fact that you two are still at it as if you were newlyweds for what? Fourteen years now? I can hardly believe that,” she mutters in amazement, “I’m afraid I don't have time for this right now. It's our grand opening tomorrow night, in case you’ve forgotten," Debbie reminds him as she dismisses them with a wave of her hand.

"On the contrary, Deb," Brian drawls. "I was just trying to explain to you that I took the liberty of organizing and promoting a little bar warming token of esteem for you, as a form of good luck for you and your new partners. I hope you don't mind," he adds with a knowing smile as he opens up the folded Pittsburgh Gazette to reveal a full-page, double-spread, in-your-face advertisement for Debbie and company’s new venture.

"Two gays enter a sports bar," Debbie reads the bold, red letters at the top while absently chewing on her gum. "Come join them at our grand opening tomorrow night on Super Bowl Sunday at Drew's, the best gay sports bar in Pittsburgh." Her eyes grow wide in realization as she lifts her gaze to peer over at Brian and Justin. “Holy shit,” she whispers in shock as she shakes her head in disbelief. “Brian…Sunshine…I don’t know what to say…”

"Well you know me, Deb, I'm all for an honest piece of advertising, especially since this place is going to be the best," Brian explains simply. Debbie, however, knows there’s much more to it than that, just like there has always been much more to what Brian does when it comes to his friends.

"Yeah, it will be," Justin agrees firmly with a smile. "It's hard to believe your new place used to be Woody's up until six months ago. It doesn't look anything like the old bar.”

Debbie smiles. “Well, you can still see some remnants, Sunshine. Only new and improved. The sentimental soul in me couldn't part with all of its history, you know.” She chuckles. "But let’s face it; the place definitely needed a decent face lift, even more than I do,” she adds before bursting into a hearty laugh.

Brian leans down to give the older woman a kiss on the cheek as he tells her affectionately, “Well, as they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, Deb.”

Debbie guffaws as Brian rolls his lips inward. “Okay…Free drinks for you and Sunshine on opening night.” Both men grin back at her in response, just before the door bursts open to reveal one of her new partners.

“Well, boys, how do you like it?” Emmett inquires with a proud smile as he walks up to them. “Do you like how we put the ‘gay’ back into this place?” he adds, holding his hands out to his sides, palms up, as his eyes sweep around the newly-refurbished space.

Justin smiles as his friend plants a kiss on his cheek in greeting; Emmett’s careful not to linger too long, however, for fear of incurring a certain brunet’s wrath as Justin tells him, "I really love how you’ve transformed this place, Em."

"Thank you, baby," Emmett says, pleased, as he places three, large, framed pictures on the bar counter. "I found these before Drewsie and I moved into our new place. I asked him if we could use them in here, and he was more than happy to share."

As Emmett takes Debbie aside briefly to discuss where to best strategically place the newest additions to their décor, the two men peer down at the three photos staring back at them, both of them intimately familiar with them.

They had been the brainchild and inspiration of Brian’s several years ago when he had needed a model for his underwear campaign. Despite it being so long ago, however, the ads generated from the poses had proven to be quite popular, so much so that they had reached a cult status among herds of adoring fans. Being the shrewd entrepreneur that he had become, it’s no surprise that Emmett wants to find the right place now for each picture to capture the hearts of those adoring fans before they flock into the best gay bar in Pittsburgh, right in time for their own special Super Bowl.

Brian quips, “Well, those should certainly give the place a nice, ‘homey’ feel to it. I think we should come and pay this place a visit Sunday.”

Justin giggles at his joke. "I thought you never cared much for football or sports bars, for that matter," he points out to his partner, playfully nipping his chin while Emmett and Debbie are still busy at the other end of the bar.

"I don't,” Brian admits, “but hey, it's been a while since I sold the club, and I figured I could use a few hours of mindless entertainment, gazing at hunky guys in Lycra pants prancing around in front of me on a huge screen in glorious Technicolor." He pushes his tongue into his cheek and leans against Justin's smaller frame as he whispers in his lover’s ear, "BUT don’t worry; when it comes to tight ends, yours is the only one I’m interested in fucking."
