Summary:
Brian thought he had it all figured out when he and Justin separated and he traveled 'down under' to Australia. He didn't need Justin, and Justin was seeking something else in his life. The only problem was, someone forgot to tell his heart that.

Part 5
Almost 24 hours later Brian's Iphone rings again. He's a bit startled when he recognizes the caller ID.
"We had great time last night." Justin sounds giddy.
"What?" Brian is caught off guard.
"At the Stop Prop 14 event. We decided not to call if off after all. We moved it to Woody's, though." Justin takes his time as if there isn't a 10-hour plus time difference between them and as if this call doesn't cost a fucking 50 dollars a minute.
Brian doesn't give a fuck how much it costs. Plus this place has Wi-Fi.
"What time is it for you?" he asks.
"Umm...10 a.m.," Justin says, in that all familiar, sleep-filled voice. "And by the way… I've changed my mind," he adds somewhat cheerfully.
Now he's telling me? Brian lifts an eye brow. He's sitting in the Quantas first class lounge at Heathrow airport in London, sipping a latte, waiting for his connecting flight to Sydney.
"I'm afraid it's a bit too late for that now, twat," he says, allowing himself to smile.
"I think I've proven to you I'm much more than a twat," Justin continues the banter.
Fuck, why is he doing that?
"Anyway… It's not about that. I already told you it won't solve anything, since we're apparently moving in different directions. But I just thought I'd tell you I've decided to go back to school to finish my art degree. Now that Stockwell is long gone those geezers on the fucking school board won't bother me anymore. As you once told me, getting a degree would help me get famous and rich, and I shouldn't give a fuck about anyone." He takes a breath after his speech.
The bulge in Brian's tight dark blue jeans is rather visible by now.
He pinches the bridge of his nose and lets out a sigh.
"Do you have enough money to finish your academic education?" he asks quietly, wishing he was there with Justin at that very minute.
"I still have the money I've earned from selling Rage online, you know." Justin sounds
as if he expected that question.
So Rage saved the day after all, Brian thinks.
"Plus, there was a guy at the event last night. Lindsay and I decided to have a last-minute charity auction so he bought one of my drawings," Justin says calmly.
A drawing? So now Brian's cock will be decorating some guy's apartment while his own sorry ass was a thousand miles away from the artiste himself? Brian feels the urge to consume something stronger than a double latte.
"Good for you." Brian doesn't even try to hide his resentment.
"He was a lousy fuck, though," Justin says after a slight pause.
Wow, that's a relief. Brian thinks. Justin sure adjusted well to single life again.
Brian feels an unexpected twitch in his already swollen cock. A dash of jealousy? Hell, no. They're not together anymore. Justin can do whatever he wants.
A flight attendant politely announces that the flight to Sydney, Australia is now boarding.
Saved by the bell. Or is he?
"I've got to go now," Brian says reluctantly.
"Sure. Have a safe flight," Justin says matter-of-factly. "...And thank you."
"What for?" Brian asks as he moves in line to approach the gate.
"What? Can't a guy say thank you?" he says sweetly.
God, Justin… please stop being so fucking charming. And sexy.
"You're welcome," Brian says just before the flight attendant asks him to turn off his Iphone.
