Far cry- G/R RPS

Quite a long-ish A/N so please bare with me ;)

I stayed away from G/R RPS for quite a while, esp since It felt akward to write about them when they are both 'in relationship' with other people right now. BUT as luck would have it two very intersting pics surfaced recently. One is of Gale dressed up as an Alien on the promo of the new tv show Defience and the other is Randy standing in the middle of the street texting or planning to call someone.
Gale's Alien picture was the intinal inspiration to this RPS and I actually posted it here yesterday afternoon (before I saw Randy's pic ). I then deleted the entry right away.
After I saw Randy's pic I decided I might post that story after all, with a few minor changes from the original version.
Mind you- It's not porny in any way shape or form.
Also it was wriiten with great love and appreciation to the RL Gale and Randy and with no intention to judge anyone.
Disclaimer: I don't own Defience (the TV show ) or Far Cry (the PSP3 game ).

Maybe I should just hang up a thought crossed Randy's mind when he heard the dialing tone.

They haven't spoken to each other in a while. Between their work related projects and the fact both of them were not such huge fans of social media they gradually grew apart.

Oh, and they were kind of busy trying to maintain other relationships.

Randy have been meaning to call Gale for quite sometime, though, just to speak to him but something kept stopping him.



Few months passed by and Randy's intention to call Gale slowly subsided.

Until that morning.

At first he couldn't believe it.

He couldn't even recognize who this person was.

Then he took a closer look.

Was that him?

If Randy wasn't standing in a bus stop in a rather crowded area of Chelsea he would probably burst into laughter and would throw in a few hearty 'what the fuck' for good measure.

But he wasn't alone.

This time though, he knew he had to call him.

He didn't have a clear idea of what to say but he had to be sure.

Just before he hang up Gale eventually answered.

"It's a far cry, I know…" He said right away. God, that raspy voice, Randy couldn't help thinking.

"I'm… speechless, really." Randy admitted after a slight pause.

"It's just a job…" Gale sounded distant all of a sudden.

"I know, but…" Randy paused again. This conversation clearly wasn't moving in the right direction. "So… how's your hand?" he tried to move on.

"I see you're keeping track." Gale laughed.

"Every now and then…" Randy answered back. "Which reminds me.." He hesitated again.

"What?" Gale asked.

"Scott told me about the convention in June. Will you be there?" Randy's voice sounded flat.

Fucking weirdness.

"Well… If I could get out of that fucking costume and stupid latex monstrosity they put on my face every day… then I can see no reason why I won't." Gale replied.

Randy noticed an air of familiar cynicism in Gale's voice at the other end of the line.

"Sounds promising." he said just before his bus arrived.
