Help needed, I guess

So today is the first official day of my summer break and after a rather interesting trip to the unemployment agency (of which I'll post another time lol) I took on to LJ and read all about Randy and his bf Brian B.
So I thought I might try and venture into tumblr myself.
I clicked on the sign in button and typed my email address but couldn't get in because I got a notification it's the wrong email..whaaa?
How is it possible? They tell my my email is wrong?
So anyway I couldn't get in and create an account...
Do any of you out there please help?(bare in mind I'm really lame when it comes to stuff like that)

I had a problem with it telling me that too until I realised that on the sign up page after you click on "sign up"....

https://www.tumblr.com/login ....

... you need to click on each word in turn which gives you the line to enter the details onto be able to enter the info, hope that helps.

Well, I did click 'sign up' first. That's what I always do if/when I want to join a site I chose.
Can you please explain what you mean by clicking on each word? I can't see any words I need to click *iz confused*

When I click on the link I sent you and click "sign up" I go to a page that has a box on it with the words ...

email
password
username

and the word start underneath it. I clicked on each word individually and entered the info.

Do you not get that page?

I got in but now I'm not sure I need to be on tumbler at all because I like a small group of friends here on LJ. tumbler it's a lot more like FB I guess which is why I can't see myself using it...

I haven't used mine yet, I keep meaning to post on my LJ and see who of my LJ friends are on Tumblr and just follow them. :)

I guess tumbler is more...idk 'in and out' (sorry for the image lol ) while LJ gives a more intimate sense of community.
