Super Heros

as you pbbly know by now I was working as a full time school teacher for 22 yrs,and left it to become a part time comic teacher(yeah,that's right,as in comic books ) I've been doing this for the past three years,and it's great fun.
one of the topics we teach is super heros,and it's obviously a fav with the kids.
so there I was today in class,explaining about different kind of super heroes, about super powers and secret identities and teaching the kids (who are 9-10 yr olds ) how to draw some very special characters we call cute super heroes (whish I could show them to you )

the kids obviously had a blast,but as you might have guessed so did the teacher,while she couldn't help thinking about a very special super hero with some very special super powers!!

Patty pfodge made it for me, but I'm willing to share ♥ You know how to give credit, right? When uploading the userpic to your LJ (or you can add/change it on already uploaded pics too) you have to write it into the comment line... something like "Credit for this icon goes to pfodge" Then whoever looks at your userpics in your profile can see where the icon is from :)

nope, I didn't know that.
It sounds like a very fun class that you now teach...my 12 year old is very into Japanese manga/anime books- loves to read them and draw them. Our school has an afterschool program for this; she loves it! :)

I like manga and anime but notb the really violent stuff. I actually have a degree in art history and art education,so it was nice to go back to it after so many years as a first grade teacher.
I love the way comic books combine language and artistic skills,and as you always say,Terri,it allows the kids to shine and show skills they might not show otherwise.
oh,and I enjoy it too ;)
