"I'm going to propose to him." Brian sounds as if he's gasping for air, while Michael tries to subdue juvenile laughter.

"Is it because of what I said the other day?" He lifts his head from the rug. "I'm sorry if I was too blunt. I didn't mean you had to do it, like… right away."

"It's not that," Brian replies, his voice sounding blurry, his eyes wide open.

"Are you sure you're not stoned out of your mind?" Michael asks.

"I've never been more sober in my life," Brian says, pulling the last bit of smoke from the joint.
