"Thanks for coming with me, Justin," Daphne said, gazing at her friend, as she tried to block the wind from messing her hair even more than it already was.
She reached for his hand and he allowed her to snuggle against his coat.
Later, after they left the clinic, they headed to the parking lot, and Daphne still couldn't
reach her parents on the phone. She'd been trying to talk to her mother for the last weeek,
but to no avail.
"I know she's there, she's just not picking up", Daphne whispered, "Do you think I made
the right decision?"
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
"You made this decision for yourself, not for them. You're an adult, or have you
forgotten about that?" Justin paused, looking for that familiar flame in his friend's
eyes. "You chose not to reveal the father's identity, not even to yourself. If they want to
punish you for that, than it's their loss".
"Now come on, we've got to take care of junior here." He reached our to rub his friend's
belly.
"Relax,Justin. It's only the size of a peanut right now. And what if it's a girl?" she said
as they walked towards the diner.
