Part 3
"What it'll be, stud?" a red-haired lady in a colorful t shirt approaches the table minutes after Justin and Detective Kinney enter the diner.
"Debbie, this is Justin. Please don't scare him away. He'll have a tuna sandwich and a large Coke with lots of ice," Brian says without as much as a flinch.
Justin tries to shake his head in protest, but his dizziness gets the better of him.
"I'll have my usual no mayo, to go," Brian continues as Debbie nods at them and turns away.
"How did you know?" Justin says, biting into his sandwich and taking a huge gulp of Coke after Debbie returned with the food.
"I'm a detective. It's my job to know," Brian replies in a very businesslike manner.
"I meant about the food. How did you know exactly what I like?" Justin asks, slowly regaining his strength and confidence.
"Just a lucky guess," Brian divulges, pushing his tongue inside his cheek.
Justin can't ignore the twitch in his cock. He's fiddling with the napkin dispenser on the table as he's trying to pull one napkin out to wipe his mouth.
"Let me help you with that," Brian offers, pulling a thin, white piece of paper out, handing it to Justin.
"I don't need help," Justin protests quietly but grabs the damn thing out of Brian's hand, their fingers almost touching.
"So is there anything you want to tell me?" Brian asks after a slight pause. Justin swallows hard, still trying to ignore the huskiness of Brian's voice.
"No," he says, taking another sip of his rather diluted beverage.
"Did you and your friend … Daphne Chanders go to many Pride marches in the past?" Brian asks.
"Why do you want to know?" Justin answers a little curtly. "Look, I don't know what you're getting at, Detective Kinney, but you'd better start taking other directions in this investigation," Justin snaps. "Thanks for lunch," he says sharply as he gets up from the table and storms out of the diner.
