"You know how much he hates surprises… remember his 30th birthday?" Justin whispered into his cell phone.
"I simply can NOT believe it’s already been what… 20 years," Ted mused.
"All the more reason why we shouldn't remind him he’s hit the big five O," Justin said.
"It doesn't have to be so… final. I should know, I've been there," Ted said with a sigh.
"Try telling him that." Justin lowered his voice when he heard Brian's footsteps on the hardwood floor.
"I did, but he wouldn't listen me."

"Don't you dare throw me one of those cheesy 'this is your life' 50th birthday parties," Brian warned Justin the very next morning.
Justin knew Ted wouldn't be able to keep his mouth shut. He also knew Brian too well to try and deny his conversation with Ted.
