"It was just a mistake." Justin's voice sounded foggy. "And I never should have left for New York," he continued, dropping his duffle bag on the floor. He pressed his lips onto Brian’s when he finally stumbled into his embrace.

"It wasn't a mistake, it was something you had to do," Brian whispered as their lips eventually parted, "but you're here now. We're here, you and I."

"We can make it work," Justin said.

"We always knew how to make it work. There were just too many obstacles along the way." Brian sighed, and tightened his arms around Justin’s waist.
