Between Pittsburgh and Beverly
Jul. 23rd, 2010 05:58 pmBeverly hills was the perfect so-call sunny place in the early 90's when an all American family from the mid west relocated to a the most famous neighberhod on the planet.
it was all about streotypes in this place. the all American boy, the girl next door,the bitch, the rich bitch, the rich kid,the kid.
...and there was him.
he was the perfect anti hero.
he was painfully beautiful.
he had the looks,the motorcycle,the leather jacket. he was dangoues. he was sexy. he was named after the irish poet.
DYLAN.
you couldn't avoid him.
he was like nothing you ever saw,even if you watched "the breakfest club" for the 1000th time. hell,he was so sexy,and so complexed. he was hiding a secret. he was almost 18 and still not a senior in high school. everyone wanted him,or wanted to be him (I've always wanted to use that expression,btw...) but HE wanted Branda.
I hated Branda . she wasn't the girl next door gone bad we always love to hate. yes,I hated her. she wore such an ugly dress to her prom,yet Dylan wanted her.
and there was Kelly. she wasn't just a blond bitch. she had a difficult life and a dranken mother. she lived in a mension with a pool. oh yes, that pool. oh,that pool scene. you've never seen anything like it.
you wanted them to stay together forever
and there was Brandon. he was like so many guys you've seen,but than he knew how to get into Dylan's heart.
when they all graduted college and stepped into the "real world" some other high school kid ,back east somewhere not so cal was steping into his own new ,real world. I wonder what would happene if Justin Taylor grew up in Bevery hills. but than he met his own Dylan in the Pitts. he met Brian. he was painfully sexy and beautiful. he had a rough extirior. he had a dranken father and a cold mother,even though he didn't grow up in Beverly Hills.
and if you think you never saw anything like that pool scene,well,think again...
and than.one day, Dylan got on his motorcycle and took off. broken hearted,disenchanted,feeling cheated.
and than one day Justin went away, feeling loved and allowed to go after his dreams.
DylAn came back. maybe he shouldn't have.
some things are better left with a promise of better furute.
