Part 8
-Justin’s apartment, a week later-
"Soooo… why did you refuse my offer to visit me in Pittsburgh last month?" Brian asks in a husky voice, his body lying on top of Justin's, both of them still in the throes of post-coital bliss.
"I thought it might not be the right time or place. And why the hell didn't I hear from YOU for the next two weeks afterwards?" Justin asks pointedly, adjusting his position on the mattress underneath the taller man's slender body, gliding the palm of his hand all the way from the man's rib cage down to his waist.
Brian trembles in reaction and lets out a low moan.
"Answer me," Justin demands as he mischievously begins to tickle Brian's sensitive spots.
"I was busy… but then I thought you didn't want anything to do with me," his companion says in a gravelly voice, resting his head on Justin's chest as if he's been doing that forever.
"We should really get out of bed," Justin breaks the sudden silence between them.
"Why?" Brian lifts his head in protest.
Justin gently pulls away and lets out a deep breath before he lifts himself from the mattress into a sitting position, leaving Brian flat on his back. "Because…all we’ve ever done since we’ve met is fuck," he states simply.
"We went on a dinner date," Brian points out, curling his lips under.
"Hardly…" Justin returns with half a smile. "Look, I don't want you to take this the wrong way, but… maybe this sort of arrangement is not what we need. I mean, maybe we thought it was, but now we can obviously see it's not working. We hardly speak or contact each other and… well, for all I know I may never have known you were travelling here and THIS might never have happened. And what if we don't have anything in common outside of the bedroom?" he concludes. Brian leans closer to grab Justin's lips in his, but then Justin turns his face the other way so all Brian gets is a soft peck on Justin's chin. Brian doesn't pull back, though. He's pressing his forehead into Justin's back, placing his lips in the elegant curve between the younger man's shoulder blades, his fingers drawing small circles all the way down his backbone.
"What are you doing?" Justin asks, his low voice filled with want and desire.
"I don't know… but I guess I'm trying," Brian answers.
"Trying?" Justin replies with a lift of one eyebrow. He shifts his position again so now both men face each other, still seated naked in bed.
"I guess we both need to think things through," Brian admits. "But… that might change soon, because as I was telling you earlier this new client of mine has a…" Brian stops in mid-sentence as Justin cuts him off.
"See what I mean? Must you always talk about YOUR bloody work and YOUR bloody clients? We're TRYING to establish something here, and here you are rambling on again and again to me about work!" Justin is definitely agitated. Agitated enough to lose his Aristocratic posture, to say the least. He gets up from the bed, picks up his underwear from the floor, hastily puts them on, and heads for the bathroom.

-A few minutes later-
"Are you still here?" Justin sounds somewhat surprised as he walks back into the bedroom, finding Brian still sitting in his bed.
"Where else would I be?" Brian shrugs.
"Out the door…" Justin answers in a somber voice.
"Well if you had actually listened before you lashed out at me, you would have understood why I'm still here,” Brian explains. "My client runs this exclusive, gay, holiday apartment rental agency. I was more than happy to learn that he’s recently expanded his ventures abroad, which means more business for me, so here I am. BUT that's not all. I might have to stay here longer this time around."
"How much longer?" Justin asks curiously.
"Three months or so, at least until we launch the campaign," Brian reveals.
"Oh…" Justin reacts in a distinctly restrained manner. "So will you be staying at the Dorchester again?"
"Well… it depends," Brian answers enigmatically, tucking his tongue inside his cheek.
"Look…I'm leaving tomorrow to stay with my parents in Dorset for the holidays. Why don't you join me?" Justin says after a slight pause.
"Are you sure?" Brian asks tentatively. Silently he thinks about how he would like nothing more than to spend more time with this man.
"Well…it's not as if I'm asking you to move in with me, right?" Justin replies with a smile.
“Well, I’m not so sure…I mean, you're practically asking me to meet your parents,” Brian teases, pulling his lips inward.
"Well, since I haven't met yours, you might as well meet mine first," Justin counters.
"You wouldn't have missed a thing, believe me. Good ol’ Jack passed away years ago, but dear Saint Joan is still very much alive and kicking," Brian unwillingly explains with a grimace.
"How very Dickensian," Justin replies dryly.
"You don’t know the half of it," Brian says.
"Maybe I do, but in a whole different way. Why do you think I ran away from where I came from, and decided to live in London? I simply couldn't stand it," Justin says.
"Won’t they mind, then, if you bring home some guy?" Brian asks.
"Are you kidding? I brought home many chaps while I was in boarding school and then later on in Cambridge. Mind you, we Brits always have had jolly good fun entertaining our fellow aristocratic mates for long weekends in the country," Justin smirks.
"Is that how you entertained your pal Dickie Thomlinson back in the day?" Brian enjoys the sudden banter.
"Umm… I MAY have done that, but then why don't I just show you?" Justin groans under his breath, throwing himself back onto the mattress next to Brian. "And besides, we'll have the whole guest wing to ourselves, so YOU won't have anything to worry about," he adds before he wiggles out of his underwear and shimmies down the mattress to let his tongue greet Brian's growing cock.
