"I like your new scruffy look," Karl said over the breakfast table. "Why the long face?"
"Because…" Hunter stopped mid-sentence.
"You look like you did when you walked in on your dads." Karl smiled.
"They live in Florida now, remember?" Hunter replied.
Michael and Ben have been thinking about living in Florida for quite a while, and over the holidays, when Hunter and Karl visited Pittsburgh, the boys sprung the news that they had got married in Washington D.C.
"But it was something they said. Well… sort of." Hunter got up to clear the dishes off the table and gently brushed his thigh against Karl's.
"It's not like you to mumble, Mr. Robinson-Novotny-Bruckner," Karl mentioned.
"That's a mouthful," Hunter said.
"Which reminds me…" teased Karl.
"I'd love to, but I have to go to work," Hunter said, trying to resist.
"So do I," Karl answered back.

"So, what's on your mind?" Karl asked quietly as Hunter stretched his naked body along side of him in bed.
"Besides the fact we just had mind blowing sex and I'll be late as fuck to work?" Hunter replied. "Well… I don't know. I guess it's something Michael said a week ago on the phone. He mentioned something about when he was my age…"
"Don't tell me he really did turn into a Jewish mother." Karl giggled softly, tracing Hunter's scruffy jaw line with his fingers.
"More like his own mother." Hunter smiled back. "But the point is… I think we both want it. Don't we?" he continued.
"I'd be lying if I say I didn't. We talked about it before, didn't we?" Karl rolled over, moving closer to Hunter's side.
"But… I don't want to adopt. I want to know our baby is a part of us. It's just that… I feel we need to find someone we know and trust," Hunter said.
"Like Melanie found your dad?"
"I guess it wasn't easy for them… I don't know if I'm ready to go through what they went through, but it would be nice to ask someone we know." Hunter let out a quiet sigh and got out of bed.
"Your ass is one of the main reasons I fell for you in the first place," Karl noted playfully as Hunter went into the bathroom.
"Don't you start," Hunter said.
"Why don't you, then?" Karl said, following Hunter and hugging his naked body from behind.
"You mean?..." Hunter seemed puzzled.
"Well it all starts in a plastic cup, doesn't it? So we better start in the privacy of our own home rather in some cold fertility clinic…" he said, reaching out towards Hunter's cock.
"Wait, don't you think we should find a potential mother first? And… don't you want to be the biological father?" Hunter said.
"I thought you should be the biological dad, since you had so many issues with your real parents," Karl whispered back.
"But I'm too…" Hunter mumbled again.
"White?" Karl completed his husband's sentence.
'I guess you could say that." Hunter nodded and left a sloppy kiss on Karl's lips.

"I've known Daphne since third grade. She would love to go for it," Justin said over the phone.
Brian raised an eyebrow at him briefly on his way out the door and into the driveway.
'Fuck you too' Justin mouthed towards his husband with Michael still on the other end of the line. "But why won't Hunter call her himself?"

"Why wouldn't I do this for you guys?" Daphne's beaming smile radiated from the laptop screen while Karl and Hunter Skyped with Daphne to discuss the details.
"Well, you're 34 years old, a bright young women who works for a major human rights organization…" Hunter started listing.
"You've done you're research, I'm impressed," Daphne giggled.
'It's actually me. Or should I say one of the interns at my office,” Karl pointed out.
"It's okay, guys, really, I'd love to," Daphne continued and blew a kiss their way.
"And it would all be legal, don't worry about that," Karl added.
"I know." she looked into the camera. "I trust you, guys."
"So do we," they both answered.

"How was your appointment?" Justin asked Daphne as they left the doctor's office.
"Everything is great. I've made it through my first trimester," she said, and gently patted her tiny baby bump. "Can't you tell?... Oh and I have a little surprise for the dads to be… but this is something I'll have to tell them face to face." She smirked and pressed the speed dial on her phone.

"Well… is everything okay?" Karl asked, and kissed Daphne on her cheek while Hunter pulled out a chair for her at the little café where they arranged to meet.
"I think you might consider things to be better than okay, actually," she said, and winked at Justin who was sitting beside her.
"Congrats dads, have as much rest as you can get in the next five months… 'cause you're having twins !!"
