"I'm taking you home," I say, pointing my finger at him. He doesn't even blink. He tries to stand tall, looking into my eyes with a hint of a smile.

One could easily be fooled by those blue eyes and that smile, but I'm not.

"Your mother is waiting," I say quietly.

Leaving the kitchen with Justin trailing behind me, I can tell this little ray of sunshine won't fade away anytime soon.

I never thought this day would come, but my instincts tell me that Brian is already wrapped around this kid's finger.

I know he's here to stay.
