"She's your little sister, Justin", Daphne turned to her old friend as they entered the the heavily decorated department store to search for some last minute gifts.
"I know, but since my dad left home I actually never saw much of her", Justin replied, sniffing the new after shave on display.
"Come on, be fare, she was only a kid back then, you were… well, you know… you had other things on your mind", Daphne grinned.
"Don't get bitchy, Daph", Justin grinned back. Daphne still knew him so well, even though they didn't talk on a daily basis those days.
"I think she was mad at me… I love her, but… I think she was upset", Justin continued.
"Kids always feel upset when their parents split", Daphne sighed.
"I don't think it was just about that. I think she was upset about me being gay, you know…", Justin seemed to be losing interest in cosmetic products. Daphne knew it wasn't a good sign.
"Why don't we go get some coffee?", she suggested, and put her arm around Justin's waist. An elderly women who passed them by nodded and sent a sweet smile their way.

"It's ringing", Justin informed Daphne as they were sitting in a little café across the street. "I hope her boyfriend won't pick up, or something".
"You don't know if she's got a boyfriend, Justin", Daphne snapped ", you didn't even know her phone number until 10 minutes ago, when you called your mom to ask her…Don't be a drama queen!"
Justin glared at his friend and was about to answer back, but his expression changed suddenly.
" Molly?... It's Justin", He pressed out, "How are you?", he held his breath , waiting for her reply.
"I would like to meet some times this week. It would be nice to spend time together during the holidays, we never did much of that in the past…"

"I invited Molly to visit us tomorrow", Justin told Brian later that night.
A chestnut bed head appeared from under the covers and Brian leaned in to kiss his husband.

"This is my studio", Justin mentioned as he showed Molly around Britin, the next day.
"I know how much you love your art, Justin. I still have that drawing you gave me for my 8th birthday", Molly said , softly.
"You do? That's great", Justin was gleaming, "Look, Molly, I know we were not always close, with dad leaving and me staying away, but… I want you to know I love you. You're still my…little Mollusk".
"It was weird…. Not spending holidays together anymore", Molly mentioned, as she strolled around in the spacious studio.
"We can change that", Justin said.
Molly didn't answer. She moved to stand by the huge window overlooking the snowy gardens of her brother's country house. That's when Justin really saw a beautiful girl a woman, almost, whom his father made him miss growing up.
"This place is great…." she pointed out quietly, "You two seem to be really happy here".
Justin reached out to the slender blond figure by the window. "We are. I really want you here to see it. I want you and mom to come to our Christmas dinner tomorrow night."
"Sounds cool", the younger girl replied and sent a beaming, familiar smile at her brother.
