Part 3

"I already have everything planned for you, sweetie." Emmett smiles sweetly at Justin when they sit on the sofa in Debbie's living room after dinner.

"Nice to know that, Honeycutt, but Justin and I haven't even set a date yet." Brian intervenes, putting one hand on Emmett's shoulder and another hand on his fiance's.

"We haven't even figured out the venue either." Justin says. "But I promise you'll be the first to know the moment we decide."

Michael clears his throat loudly as he's squeezing himself onto one of his mom's colorful living room chairs. "I believe you should at least notify me." He says. " I mean you were my best man so I owe you a favor."

"We sure will, Mickey" Brian replies, ignoring the best man remark. "But I guess you won't need any notification. You can just use one of your many hidden superpowers to conspire another fucking scheme." He continues with a raised eye brow.

"Come on, you can't still be mad at me for playing that little trick on you, can you?" Michael giggles as Brian sticks his tongue at him.

"I think it would be best if you won't mention tricks at this point, Michael." Ben tries to calm his husband down.

"Well, it worked, right?" Michael smiles and turns to Justin.

"For now." Justin smirks back.

"Anyway, I have million and one great ideas once you set the date, of course." Emmett continues. "In fact I was thinking 'SueprQueer' themed wedding. like they did at Toronto Pride this year. Wouldn't it be great?"

"I actually think you should keep it nice and clean, but very classy." Jennifer chimes in.

"I've known Brian Kinney too long, Jen. I don't think he'll go for nice and clean." Debbie laughs, stepping into the living room from the kitchen.

"Ma!" Michael stops her but lets out a silent giggle.

"What?" she frowns." All I'm saying is that I think it would be perfect for you guys to tie the knot at the diner. I'd love to help." She wipes an invisible tear.

"We can help as well, right Mel?" Lindsay points out. "After all if it wasn't for Brian we never would have had our beautiful ceremony." She says quietly.

"Will you all just shut the fuck up??" Brian cuts everyone off. "God!. Justin and I appreciate everything you guys are trying to do but for fuck's sake leave us alone."

The crowded room falls silent. Justin buries his eyes in the elaborate patterns of Debbie's carpet as if he's seeing them for the first time.

"Coffee, anyone?" Debbie says after a while.
