You walked over to the door, looking at me. I could tell it was one last failed attempt to make me tell you out loud what you already knew.

I should have told you how much I really understand you. how much I'll miss you. How much I'm in love with you.

I told you it's your call where you wanted to be.

How could I have been so blind?

Every nerve in my body, every breath I took, every fiber of my being wanted to let you know I can't stand the thought of you leaving.

I was numb.

I was terrified.

I thought I should let you learn from your own mistakes.

I didn't realize I was making an ever bigger one by not holding on to you and never letting you out of my sight.
